I decided to give it a try and I ended up loving it! It was extremely descriptive and erotic. The main character, Marissa, was a great character. I loved her. The dialect was a good touch to the story. Some of the characters' names made me chuckle quite a few times, but I guess that's how it is when you're in jail! I don't want to ruin anything about the book, but I will say that it is a great read. Whether you are heterosexual or homosexual, Love Behind Bars is a very great read. Jennifer Jagger deserves a lot of credit for the way she writes and how descriptive she is. This book isn't solely about the character's first lesbian experience, but it also has other pieces in the plot that help you understand Marissa more. Overall this is a great read and I highly recommend it!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.Kind of fun, but disappointing, as well.By Pen NameLesbian prison sex is always a pretty hot topic, and I definitely liked the overall sub/dom relationship between the pretty, more submissive Marissa and her dominant lesbian cellmate, Jackie. If I had a problem with Jennifer Jagger's otherwise well-written book, it's that FANTASY lesbian prison sex is always a whole lot hotter than REALISTIC women's prison sex, and Ms. Jagger appears to have attempted the more realistic approach. The female warden's appearance, for instance - I mean, she may has well have been a man, as there was nothing particularly erotic about her forcing herself upon pretty Marissa. This book should have tried being CAMPY, as that's always a much more fun read regarding this particular genre. The cover-pic shows two pretty femmes getting together in the shower with no prison feel whatsoever. A story about two women in prison fighting for their love. Marissa, a sweet little girl who went through a lot of pain, and Jackie, a strong confident woman, her protector.
